New technologies for an ever-changing environment

Ruggedized vehicles and field-ready detection, built for an unpredictable world

Fortress Automotive brings technology once reserved for the military and select agencies to civilian, security, and executive clients — armored HMMWV and Dodge Charger builds alongside mobile facial recognition systems that identify a threat before it arrives.

Two platforms, built for different missions

We standardize on two base vehicles so every build benefits from a proven chassis and years of accumulated engineering.

HMMWV platform

High-mobility, high-ground-clearance builds for personnel transport, escort, and patrol in rough terrain. Ballistic and blast protection layered onto the chassis the platform was designed to carry.

Dodge Charger platform

A discreet armored sedan for executive and diplomatic transport. Factory-grade ride and handling preserved, with ballistic glass and door armor that doesn't announce itself.

Mobile facial recognition

The same detection technology once limited to military and select agencies, mounted on a vehicle you already operate.

High-definition cameras mounted on the vehicle detect and frame faces in the field. The face shots are captured, submitted, and compared against a database of faces, analyzing features like nose width and eye socket depth and converting them into a biometric template for identification.

That data is matched against stored records and returned to the monitor, which gives the user the known details of the subject. What comes back depends on the data source the operating agency or entity provides.

What goes into every armor build

Protection is a system, not a single material. We engineer each layer to work with the others.

Ballistic armor

Steel and composite panel armor fitted to the body structure, rated to the threat level the vehicle is built for.

Ballistic glass

Multi-layer glass sized and framed to match the armor rating, without adding more weight or distortion than the mission needs.

Blast protection

Reinforced floor and underbody structures designed to direct blast energy away from the crew compartment.

Mobility under load

Run-flat tires, upgraded suspension, and braking tuned for the added weight, so the vehicle still handles like one piece.

Electrical and comms

Wiring and power upgraded to run radios, lighting, and mission electronics without touching factory reliability.

Independent testing

Every armor package is verified against its rated standard before a vehicle ships, not just engineered to it.

From base vehicle to delivered build

The same five stages, whether the base is a HMMWV or a Charger.

1. Threat assessment

We start with the environment and threat level, not a catalog.

2. Engineering

Armor, glass, and structural changes are designed together, not bolted on in sequence.

3. Build

Fabrication and installation in a controlled shop environment.

4. Testing

Ballistic and blast verification against the rated standard.

5. Delivery

Handover with documentation and crew familiarization.
